Finally, we could all make it on the same night! It had been too long.
My offerings last night ranged from a plaintive wailer by Weezer to a wrenching blues number by Dinah Washington, and from an early Paula Cole screamer to a Brenda Lee classic heartbreaker. And I was not the standout in the diversity department, either. Gosh, these things are fun. :)
The conversation ran the gamut as did the refreshments. My contribution to the evening's libations was Absente, made properly, with sugar cube and spoon. mmmm. No evidence of the green fairy, though, either on the drive home in the waking up this morning.
Good thing. Worship team awaits!
