Nature, confused

You know... it's still February. It's cold.

But there is life in the front garden, and it is determined to stick its nose out and see what's up.

What's up is that this week it was still -10 degrees at night. And only a couple of days ago I was blowing the drive. There are still piles of snow at the end of it, and a couple of inches sitting on the deck.

Jeepers, plants. What's the hurry? You have all Spring.

Didn't wanna brag but I've had full blown daffoldils since my birthday- yeah do the math ;-) There are some cheerful daffodils that wabe to me as I walk to & from work as well, which are a definite spirit booster and our narcissis- narcissi-? are in bloom up our walkway, tho our amarylis didn't bloom at Christmas & we have some nice daffoldil specimens too, including one with an orange center, which is cool since nobody & I mean nobody that currently lives here planted anything in recent memory. Like hope, some plants spring eternal :)
