Here's a few of the Snake River, from the Washington side. I'm sold on a little town called Asotin, not far downstream from here, for a retirement location. But... that only makes one of us. More negotiations ahead. :)
Here is a look at Lake Coeur D' Alene (and a swank old ChrisCraft speedboat) taken from a similar vantage point to that of our restaurant table later that night, plus a few images from an equally swank local art gallery in the town named for said lake. Did I mention it was swank?
After walking on an almost lunar surface, the falls at Idaho Falls, ID, seemed reassuring somehow. The Mormon temple behind them was pretty striking, too. Saw three of those in southern Idaho, where the LDS church is strong.
Finally, in Park City, UT... a little street art, by an internationally known artist. :)
A great vacation: high plains, high desert, high mountains, rushing streams, mountain valleys, and best of all... low dew points. Ahhhh, the West. Can't wait to see sagebrush again. :)
