God is apparently off the hook for the ridiculously high dew points making Des Moines seem like Biloxi (absent the Gulf breeze).
From the looks of this article in a scholarly journal, it looks like we have done this to ourselves! The scholars say: "This moisture source appears to be related to enhanced levels of evapotranspiration from corn and soybean crops, which have experienced a near doubling in total acreage from 1950 to 2000."
Hmpf. Corn & soybeans exhale humidity, I guess. Weird.
But as per usual, man is culpable! Romans 3:4 rings true yet again...
